Ian is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and of CPA Australia, a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia, a registered company auditor and a tax agent. He serves as a director of a number of trading, investment and trustee companies.
For almost ten years Ian served as a national negotiator for the accounting profession in its dealings with the ATO on matters of taxpayers' and agents' rights, tax law administration, compliance and policy initiatives.
Ian's key role is to help clients develop their 'big picture", their business profitability and ultimate reward on succession or sale. Major responsibilities include providing strategic planning advice and support to key clients, succession planning, asset protection, structures and taxation matters, business acquisition and disposal support, superannuation and investment strategies. Ian also provides shadow board mentoring support for young emerging businesses.
He is a keen snow skier and as long as his knees hold up will continue to chase the powder.
